Once you arrive at the studio you will choose your mat.

You then have the option to pull an oracle card or two from the bowl and settle in while you wait for the rest of the group to arrive.

As a Reiki master all of my sessions begin with direct Reiki for those that choose.

(no actual touch is involved during group sessions)

Then of course the main part of the evening is the Gongs themselves as you simply lie back, relax and enjoy the journey of vast sounds & vibration!

Fun Fact: Large Gongs produce so many complex overtones and harmonics that you'll actual only perceive around 20% of the vibrations in the space with your ears!

The Gongs, bowls and koshi chimes will  be sounding for around 50-55 minutes.

The session will end with a 'shunyata' which translates from Sanskrit to void and is a silence lasting for around  3-5 minutes.

This is to allow you to fully integrate all of the sounds and vibrations that have been occupying the space for almost an hour.

Participants are then able to leave quietly in silence or stay and share their experience - depending on how they feel afterwards.

The 1st Friday of the months is a Gong bath hearing from 3 Gongs

This includes the very large, and  beautiful handcrafted 38" Paiste Symphonic Gong who's name is the ancient Sumerian double meaning word Ul - Translated as  both 'ancient' and also 'perfect', a word they used to describe a  'Golden Eara' past era  (Pronounced 'Yule')

The 3rd Friday of the month has the advantage of 4 Gongs in the space! This includes two very large Gongs, the 38 Symphonic as well as the large Chinese Chau Gong that was especially shipped over from the states, who's name is the ancient Sumerian word 'Buru' meaning Crow.

Crow totum, bringing in the possibility of positive change for people, intuition and luck.

Chinese bronze Gongs are said to be very powerful indeed!

Both Gong Baths are a lovely evening to attend alone or with friends.

Sometimes I have small groups book in together, couples, and plenty of 'solo' attendees.

Many of whom have never heard a Gong before, and have no idea what to expect!

Let the Gongs take you on a cosmic  journey of sound and vibration.

From feeling so relaxed participants fall blissfully asleep (don't worry the vibrations still 'work') to experiencing deep profound changes either in the body or the mind Gong goers describe their experience as 'wonderful' and 'amazing' and 'unique'

PLEASE NOTE:

The studio door will be locked at the start of the session at 7:30pm

This is firstly to protect your belongings whilst you are enjoying the session, but also to offer a safe space for you  to relax and settle into.

I simply cannot accept lateness -  this would be incredibly disruptive and therefore unfair for the rest group.

The group Gong baths are not suitable for those under the influence of drugs or alcohol - Sadly you will not be granted entrance if you arrive under the influence.

For newbies there is a short form to fill out upon arrival. Please allow enough time to do this

You are most welcome to arrive 5-10 minutes if that is helpful.

There will be one Yoga mat and eye bag per person provided

If you are unable to bring your own comfort items for whatever reason, don't worry, we have a few spare blankets / bolsters that you may borrow.
